Nantahala Outdoor Center runs guided whitewater rafting on the Chattooga River, which is protected by the National Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, with both trips listed in Clayton, GA. Section 3 (ages 8+) has Class II-III rapids, scenic swimming spots and the Bull Sluice rapid. Section 4 (ages 12+) is a full-day Class IV trip through Seven Foot Falls and the Five Falls. Temporarily closed, check with the operator.
