Seeking Adrenaline Operator Terms

The short version

• Free listings stay free. Claiming your listing is free too.
• Premium is optional: $49 a month, billed monthly through Stripe. It renews every month until you cancel.
• Founding Partner (invite-only, 10 spots, open until December 15, 2026): $29 a month for 24 months, then $49 a month. If you cancel, the Founding Partner rate ends for good.
• Cancel anytime online. No phone call needed. Paid features stay on until the end of the month you paid for (unless you take the 30-day refund, which ends them right away).
• 30-day refund. If you cancel within 30 days of your first payment, you get all of it back. Paid features, and any Founding Partner rate, end when we issue the refund.
• Paid listings are labeled as paid. Paying never changes what we write about you or anyone else.
• You're responsible for your trips. We're a directory. We don't run, inspect or vouch for any trip.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between Boettger Holdings LLC, which runs Seeking Adrenaline ("we" or "us") at seekingadrenaline.com, and the business that claims a listing or pays for a plan ("you"). By claiming a listing or paying for a plan, you agree to these terms. You accept by checking the box next to the link to these terms when you claim or check out. We keep a record of the version you accepted, the time and your account. If you don't agree, don't claim or buy. The person who accepts must be 18 or older and allowed to act for the business.

1. Listing levels

Free listing. We list your business from public sources: name, city, state, activities, official website and phone number. It costs nothing, and you don't have to do anything.

Claimed listing (free). Claiming lets you confirm the listing is yours and send us corrections. To confirm it's really your business:

1. We check that the listing's official website belongs to your business.
2. We send a link or code to an email address at that website's domain (for example, name@yourbusiness.com). A free email address such as Gmail or Yahoo works only if it appears on your official website.
3. If email doesn't work, reply to our claim email or write to jonathan@seekingadrenaline.com from an address shown on your official website, and we'll confirm another way.

Only after this succeeds does your listing show "Claimed by owner." That label means you confirmed the listing is yours. It is not a safety check.

Premium (paid). Your photos and video, a short story you write, and a spot at the top of browse lists. Wherever a Premium listing shows first, it's labeled "Premium · paid placement." All other listings stay in their normal order.

Founding Partner (paid, invite-only).

• 10 spots in total, no more than 2 per town and 1 per activity in each town.
• Open until December 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern, or until all 10 spots are taken.
• Includes everything in Premium, at $29 a month for 24 months. After 24 months, the price becomes $49 a month. We email you 30 days before that change.
• Your listing shows "Founding Partner · paid member," plus "Premium · paid placement" wherever it shows first.
• The Founding Partner rate is a one-time offer. It ends for good if you cancel, if you take the 30-day refund, or if a payment stays unpaid for 14 days. If you come back later, you pay the regular Premium price.
• A referral link or referral discount can't unlock the Founding Partner rate.

Founding Partner extras. We also offer Founding Partners some extras, listed at seekingadrenaline.com/founding-partner. That page is dated and versioned. The extras are offered at our discretion and may change or end. They aren't part of the price, they're never sold separately, and we don't promise any traffic, leads or results from them.

What paying never buys. Paying doesn't change what we write about you or anyone else. It isn't a review, rating or endorsement. We don't promise traffic, clicks, bookings or search rankings.

2. Price, billing and cancelling

Price. Premium is $49 a month. Founding Partner pricing is in section 1. All plans are billed monthly. Stripe handles payments, and we never see your full card number.

Auto-renewal. Your plan renews automatically each month and charges your card on file until you cancel.

Price changes. We email you 30 days before any new price applies to you. The email shows the old price, the new price, the date and how to cancel. If you don't cancel, the new price starts at your next renewal.

How to cancel. Use "Manage or cancel" in any billing email, or go to seekingadrenaline.com/premium. Either one opens your Stripe billing page, where you can cancel online. You can also email "cancel" to jonathan@seekingadrenaline.com, and we'll process it within 1 business day and confirm the end date. We'll never ask for a phone call or a reason.

When paid features end. After you cancel, paid features stay on until the end of the month you paid for. Then your listing goes back to a free listing.

Refunds.

• First 30 days: if you cancel within 30 days of your first payment, we refund it in full. When we issue that refund, paid features end right away.
• After 30 days: cancelling stops the next charge. We don't refund the current month, and we don't prorate.
• If we end your plan through no fault of yours: we refund that month's fee in full.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we email you and retry it automatically. You have 14 days to update your card, and your paid features stay on while we retry. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, your plan ends as if you had cancelled.

Referrals.

• You get 1 free month for each business you refer, once that business has paid for 2 months. A month still in the 14-day retry period counts only after it's paid.
• The business you refer gets 50% off its first month.
• The referred business must be a real, separate business with a confirmed claim (section 1). You can't refer your own business, or any business you own or control, including one under another name.
• Free months have no cash value. There's no limit on how many you can earn.
• Discounts don't stack. A new business gets either the referral discount or the Founding Partner rate, not both. You still earn your free month either way.
• If you share your referral link publicly, label it "referral link" or "#ad."

3. Keep your listing accurate

You're responsible for keeping your name, location, activities, prices, ages, safety rules, licenses and booking details correct. Tell us within 14 days when something changes. Don't add false claims, fake reviews or other businesses' logos. If you post about us in exchange for something of value, such as a Founding Partner extra, say so clearly in the post, for example: "Paid partner of @seekingadrenaline #ad."

4. Your photos and content

What you let us do. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to show, crop, resize and caption the photos, video and text you send us. We use them on our website, newsletter and social media accounts, with credit to you. We won't sell your media or license it to anyone else for their own use. Posts on social platforms are also subject to those platforms' terms. To stop future use, give us 30 days' written notice. Posts already published may stay up.

What you promise. You own what you send us, or you have permission to use it. That includes permission from anyone who can be identified in it, and from a parent or guardian for anyone under 18.

Our right to remove it. We may remove any photo, video or text right away, without notice, if we get a complaint about it or believe it may infringe someone's rights.

Badges for your website. We give you a small embed code for a badge. It's served from seekingadrenaline.com, so it updates on its own: when a paid plan ends, it switches to a plain "Listed on Seeking Adrenaline" or turns off. Don't copy the badge or host it yourself. If you do, remove every copy within 14 days after your plan ends or we remove your listing.

5. Our right to edit or remove listings

We may edit listings for accuracy, length, style or safety. We may refuse, hide or remove any listing, photo or text that is wrong, misleading, infringing or unsafe, or that breaks these terms. We may also do this if we get credible reports of unsafe practices. If we end a paid plan through no fault of yours, we refund that month's fee in full.

You can ask us to remove your free listing at any time by emailing jonathan@seekingadrenaline.com.

6. We don't run your activities

We're a directory. We may check some listing details, like your website and phone number, but we don't promise they're accurate, and we don't book, sell, run, inspect, license or insure any trip, and we don't vet any operator's safety, licenses, permits or insurance. Your operations, safety, permits, waivers and insurance are your responsibility. Adventure sports can cause serious injury or death. Guests who book with you deal with you, not with us.

7. Limits on our liability

We provide the site "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost profits, lost bookings or indirect damages. Our total liability to you is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. This cap doesn't limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or anything the law doesn't allow us to limit.

8. Changes, law, privacy and contact

Changes to these terms. We'll email you 30 days before any important change. The email says what changed and how to cancel. Price changes follow section 2.

Law. North Carolina law governs these terms. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
