What to Bring on an ATV Tour

You are not packing a truck. Bring ID, water, sunscreen, and a way to keep dust off your phone. The shop has the machine.

Quick Facts

  • Photo ID for the waiver
  • Water bottle that clips or stays in a bag they allow
  • Sunscreen and lip balm
  • Cash or card for the deposit they list
  • Leave valuables; do not assume lockers

Water and Dust

A bottle that will not bounce out. Dust gets into pockets and ports — a zip pouch helps.

Phone

Ask before you mount anything. Many shops ban loose phones on the bars. A dust bag in a zippered pocket is enough for a first hour.

What Not to Bring

Spare ATV parts, a full camping kit, jewelry that snags. See What to Wear ATV Riding for clothes.
