Eaglecrest Ski Area is Juneau's community-owned ski area on Douglas Island, about a 15-minute drive from downtown Juneau, AK. The mountain has a 1,620-foot vertical drop, 640+ acres, and backcountry access. Alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, and lessons through the Eaglecrest Snowsport School are offered, with rental, ski, and repair shops on site.
