Emerald Isle Surf Company teaches surfing on North Carolina's Crystal Coast, with 1-on-1 and group lessons for first-timers, returning students and surfers brushing up on skills. All surfing classes are private, so students surf only with their own family and friends. Students meet their instructor on the beach, the company provides a board sized to each student's height and weight, and every student is attached to an 8-foot-plus buoyant board with an instructor assisting. There are no age limits, the company is locally and veteran owned, and it runs a summer surf camp.
