Smoky Mountains UTV Guide

Last Updated: September 2026

Smokies UTV products are often shorter, closer to town, and priced per machine. Expect woods, mud, and a view stop — not Moab slickrock. Rain happens. Many tours still run.

Quick Facts

  • 90 minutes to half day is the usual product
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Driver 18+ is common; rentals may sit at 21–22 with a license
  • Kids as passengers if they meet height
  • Mud will win

Do Tours Run When It Rains?

Often yes. Mud is part of the Smokies product. Lightning, high wind, or a washed-out trail will cancel. Read that operator’s weather rule before you drive up.

What to Wear

Clothes you can trash. See What to Wear on a UTV Tour.

Beginner Mistakes

  • White sneakers
  • Booking a “mountain extreme” product for a six-year-old passenger without reading height

Ready to Ride?

Search UTV tours near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or your Smokies ZIP. Start at /motorsport.

Find this near you

Search a city, state, or ZIP. Set distance to 20 or 50 miles. Filter to UTV; Jeep / 4x4. Or browse Wheels / motorsport: /motorsport. Independent directory, not a booking service. Book on the operator’s official website.
