Moab is a trail town. The bookable day is a machine, a boat, or a rope, not a scenic overlook.
Best for
- A first day is a guided jeep or a UTV on a named trail. Self-drive is the second trip.
- A water day is a Colorado River raft or a jet boat. Spring flow is the reason to book the raft.
- A vertical day is a guided climb or a canyon. Do not mix those into a jeep tour and call it climbing.
- A one-time flight is the Moab drop zone in the morning, or a scenic flight if a desk is on the page.
Less ideal
Skip as the plan: a hiking-only day. The national parks do that. This directory does not.
Season
March–May and September–November. Summer is doable at 7 a.m. and a bad idea at 2 p.m.
